I showed up a day early for a photo shoot… duh… If you know me you will honestly agree that I am the most disorganized person .. and running my business is no different. The thing about showing up early is that it’s not always a bad thing to do.  Today , on the bridge over looking Richmond, I saw the most beautiful sunrise, it nearly made me cry. I stood there with my camera.. I watched the runners. I thought.. Oh man.. my client is going to think I’m a ditz. ( i am)..   but since I was there.. I decided to take a few shots.

The truth is, there are no mistakes. Showing up early this morning gave me the chance to take a walk, talk to some nice people.. see the sunrise and meet Franklin the doggie  and his human Chris. Franklin is a handsome rescue doggie from the SPCA, and Chris, his owner, showed up a day early.  He showed up for Franklin. Chris says Franklin is the best thing he’s ever done. Franklin is still shy around strangers, and as Chris walked him over the bridge, I noticed that every time someone passed.. Franklin would sit down and kind of shrink. Chris would lean over and pet and encourage him. He would pat him on the head and encourage him to get up and walk. Some days we all need that encouragement to get out there and walk!  So, my question is, Is Franklin the doggie the rescued or the rescuer?   I feel very honored that Franklin posed so well for me, and I think I know the answer to the question.

Any of you who know me.. you know that I am a sucker for animals, and an animal love story is the best. So… show up early.
